Free Seminar for Amateur Athletes

After another successful event held during the 2011 State Championships, CAMO will host its third annual free seminar open to the public entitled “What You Need to Know Before You Go Pro” ™.   The first and second annual events held during the weekend of the previous finals brought together an all star group of panelists including Bas Rutten, Josh Barnett, KJ Noons, Erik Paulson and Razor Rob McCullough along with an experienced group of managers, promoters, sponsors and PR professionals.  “We have found the seminar to be an extremely popular event with our amateur fighters,” explains Lappen. “It gives our athletes a chance to hear what the best in the sport think is important for them to understand in order to be successful as a professional.   It’s really an amazing opportunity for a young fighter to be able to learn directly from people of this caliber.  We really appreciate all the panelists for taking the timeout from their busy schedules to give back to the sport and help support the CAMO program.”  The seminar will be held on the weekend of the California Amateur MMA State Championship Finals.  Further details as they become available will be posted on the CAMO website (www.camo-mma.org).
